Peaceful Pines Cottage in Black Mountain
Retreat to the porch of Peaceful Pines Cottage and gaze at the stars in Black Mountain from the comfort of your rocking chair. Located a short walk to the Village of Cheshire, 1.5 miles to historic, downtown Black Mountain, and 20 minutes to Asheville, this cozy cottage is the perfect getaway for those seeking a quiet and relaxing home from which to explore the entire Blue Ridge Mountain area. The fully remodeled cottage offers king and queen beds, blackout window shades in the king bedroom, portable fans, extra pillows and comforters in each room, a well-appointed kitchen including microwave, stove, blender, popcorn popper, toaster oven, coffee maker, and water boiler, a washer and drier, an on demand hot water, a responsive heating and AC system, a dining table with chairs, an L-shaped white leather couch, Samsung Smart TV with a sound bar and subwoofer. Outdoor Adirondack chairs where you can enjoy the beautiful, tree-filled garden full of birds and wildlife, and rocking chairs on the front porch from which you can enjoy sunset happy hours with mountain views. Since Asheville is so close, Peaceful Pines Cottage offers an escape from the bustle and excitement of the city. Soak in the silence, listen to the birds, and rest peacefully before heading back out into the mountains or city for more adventure. From your doorstep you can walk to the historic former home of Rafael Guastavino’s Rhododendron Estate adjacent to the Christmount Retreat Center, hike along nature trails, or ramble along a neighborhood route to the charming Village of Cheshire with its restaurants, shops, and pubs. The town of Black Mountain is a Buncombe County gem with so many incredible restaurants and breweries that you may never drive to Asheville! Some of our favorites include: Goldfinch, Cuban Cousins, Pure & Proper, Black Mountain Brewing, Fresh Pizza, La Guinguette, Trailhead, Dripolator, The Railyard, Olé Guacamole’s, Taco Billy and so many more. Shop for antiques on Cherry Street, visit the Old Depot Arts & Crafts Center, explore the arts and crafts at the Seven Sisters Gallery, check out the art exhibits at the Black Mountain Center for the Arts and the Red House Studios and Gallery, listen to live music at the White Horse Black Mountain and The Railyard, and learn about the regional history at the Swannanoa Valley Museum & History Center located downtown in a converted 1921 firehouse. Down the road toward Asheville, stop in at Pisgah Brewing Company, Black Mountain Cider & Mead, and the Oak and Grist Distilling Company. There’s so much to see and do!
