A town that has “Keep Asheville Weird” as a slogan is bound to have an interesting Halloween. While we may be weird, we are also a lot of fun especially for families. Here’s our 3 step guide to enjoying fall in Asheville (if you read to the end, there’s a bonus):

  1. Inspired Getaway rental properties happen to be very close to one such great Family Fall Festival location: Hickory Nut Gap Farm located just a couple of miles from Mountain Magnolia Home and Taylor Ranch Retreat where there is a pick your own pumpkin patch, hayrides, pet farm animals and more (read below).
  2. Asheville also offers ways to give back with the Eliada Homes Corn Maze where all proceeds benefit the children of Eliada. Enjoy hayrides, story trails and tube slides and more!
  3. Of course, it wouldn’t be Halloween with a little bit of Trick or Treating. Below we’ve listed a few great locations.

WHERE TO TRICK OR TREAT

Vermont Ave in West Asheville – this neighborhood takes it serious and decorates to the max with lots of activities. They are so serious, they have a website about it. Visit:
https://www.vermontavehalloween.com/

Tip: It’s a small neighborhood so if you plan on going, respect the community and remember, it will get very busy in there!

North Asheville– this neighborhood offers the more traditional trick-or-treat with parents strolling along with young ones from house to house. There is no food or other activities but it is easy to walk around with side streets and plenty of sidewalks. Head up Charlotte Street and take a left on Edwin and you’re there.

Public Places – for more public places, you can trick or treat at the Asheville Mall on Tunnel Rd (East Asheville) or Biltmore Park (South Asheville).
